I missed our second birthday this year. I didn't even realize it's been that long until a few weeks ago when Blake asked us in the field how long it's been since we started growing flowers together, almost to the day. Two years. I can count on one hand the number of things I've committed to for that length of time in my life.
Two years of hustling, and mostly not knowing what we were doing. When people ask me how we did it, I just tell them we figured it out. Starting a farm in a city has to be one of the craziest things I've ever done in my life; running a business has been the most terrifying. I think I've learned more in the past two years than in my six years of higher education.
It's overwhelming to think about, and even harder to put it all into words. So I'll leave you with photos. Of the farm, of the flowers, of us, from the last week of June.
